Hair tinsel is our favorite way to add a little ✨extra✨ without the commitment. These sparkly strands are gently tied into your natural hair and catch the light every time you move! You can wash it, style it, live your life, and enjoy the sparkle for days or even weeks. Go subtle or go full disco—it’s low effort, high impact, and very much

HOW LONG DOES HAIR TINSEL LAST?
As long as the hair it’s tied to wants to hang out — anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.
It’ll slide out or grow out naturally when it’s time.

CAN I WASH AND STYLE MY HAIR?
Yes! Shower, blow-dry, curl, straighten—live your life. Just be gentle and don’t crank the heat to “crispy.”

HOW LONG DOES HAIR TINSEL TAKE?
To be on the safe side, we like to say about a minute per strand. So, typically anywhere between 15 to 25 minutes.

WILL IT DAMAGE MY HAIR?
Nope. No glue, no heat, no scary stuff. Just a tiny knot and a lot of sparkle. Your hair is safe with us.

IS IT GOOD FOR ALL HAIR TYPES?
Yes, yes, and yes. Straight, wavy, curly, thick, fine, short, long—we love them all.

HOW MUCH IS IT, AND FOR HOW MANY?
We charge $20 for twenty-four strands — ten on either side of the head, and four in the back — or $10 for twelve strands if you just want to dip your toe in the water before you dive all the way in.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
Nope! All the Lunch Hunnies know how to tie in the tinsel, so you can just come on in anytime!
Just be aware that availability can vary if there is someone ahead of you—sparkle waits for no one.

WHAT COLORS DO YOU HAVE?
We try to keep all the good ones stocked—neutrals, brights, and some extra sparkly favorites—but hair tinsel goes fast. Our color selection can change depending on what’s been most popular lately, so we may not always have every color available. If you’ve got your heart set on something specific, feel free to ask—we’ll always show you what we’ve got in the moment ✨

DO YOU DO HOUSE CALLS OR PARTIES?
We don’t typically do house calls, as we only have three employees with set schedules and we need someone to work at the store.
We can host a party for you here at Lunch Money, though! We would just need you to reach out to us about a week prior with the date you’re hoping to come in and how many people will be attending so that we can ensure we have enough staff to help.
